Born in Manhattan and raised on hip hop in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn, The Sunset Kid (Stoak Burns) is an underground rap artist who first discovered his passion for making music at the age of 10. At 14, he started writing rhymes and spitting over instrumentals, and has spent the years since then mastering his craft, drawing inspiration from classic hip hop acts such as Run DMC, Slick Rick, Dougie Fresh, Fat Boys, LL Cool J, Biz Markie, Rakim, KRS One, EPMD, Gangstarr, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G. Rap, MC Lyte, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, NWA, Cypress Hill, Nice & Smooth, Das Efx, Naughty by Nature, Redman, Pharcyde, Geto Boyz, The Notorious B.I.G., Wu Tang Clan, Onyx, Nas, Bootcamp Click, Mobb Deep, The Beatnuts, Big Punisher, Fat Joe, CNN, and a host of others. In 2007 he released his first album which is entitled "Stomp and Crush". Every song on the album was written and produced by Stoak. Now at age 32, The Mighty Stoaker is back to share some new all original music straight from the underground of rap.
